Ooohh, some good ones! I hope you publish some in all three eras. :)
I like medieval or very ancient times, i.e. I just finished reading about Cleopatra. There's something so monumental about those times, and the ancients had an incredible amount of knowledge. A lot of what we know today was first practiced by them; medicines, astronomy, ect.
