My closest friend, who is highly proficient with long range firearms (you should have heard him go OCD over hitting an array the size of a nickel rather than a dime, he discovered there was an infinitesimal difference in the casings he was using for his hand loads) would heartily agree with your assessment of a blade as a superior weapon for efficient, close range dispatch.
Thank you for your comment, Renee. Long range firearms have their uses, and there's a sniper in Peccadillo, but Katla's killings are more in disguising homicide, which often requires up-close and personal handling of the target.
