Thanks for your answer. I'll be excited to read the adult version of the story; I really enjoyed The Sorcerer's Concubine and that's what led me to reading the other books. Sometimes I read YA but it only if the story is really compelling. If you feel like discussing the difference, for you, between traditional YA publishing and self-publishing, that would be interesting. In any case, I will be interested in what you come out with next. Let's just say I LOVE the magical doll people!
I'm enjoying writing for adults more myself. I self censored a lot and then editors would censor more. Some writers seem to get away with almost anything in YA but I never had those editors! I had to cut a girl wrapping her legs around a guys legs when they kissed and she was sitting on a table. Yeesh. I could do a proper blog post on all this at some point! I'm so glad you like the doll people! I actually have a new book out tomorrow, if you haven't seen it already, The Vampire's Doll...it's about Parsons, the Fanarlem girl in The Sorcerer's Wife who was born a real girl. And of course Lester and the Alamonts will still be in the new version of the other story.
