Laurie Dean Nstive American DNA usually doesn't show up in regular dna test. My Great Great Gandmother was Cherokee. The dna tests we do are foer surface dna. I did 23andme and Family Tree dna, but it didn't show up for my Father or me. But, I knew my family wasn't lying. And I'd met my Great Grandfather who looked very Cherokeem and so did my Uncle. So, I tried 2 other companies that go deeper into your dna to find the hidden things the surface dna misses. I fround truly remarkable things by digging under that first layer of dna. The Native American dna was there under Native American of the Eastern plains and Woodlands, which is where the Cherokee originated. And, also Native Americans orginated from Asia. I also had some Asian, as well. Ojay the 2 other companies that found that found my surface dna were, GRI Genetics and Genomelink. You uploaad your dna from the previous companies you've tried. You don't have to swab again with these two companies.Good Luck! :) Obtw, I am also from Arkansas

Laurie Dean CRI Genetics and Genomelink (23andme was really good and found much more than Family Tree or Heritage dna did. But, still. the Native American wasn't there).
