Well, English is my first language and I agree with the OP. I’ve read only 2 books so far, but they are riddled with grammatical errors. I wasn’t going comment on it, but the author’s rather salty response changed my mind.
A good writer doesn’t mind some constructive criticism, if it helps improve the work. Nobody is perfect, but maybe it’s time to find a new editor or ensure they’re doing the job they’re getting paid to do.
