I've always really liked the UK covers (obv. cause that's where I live), but I must say I do really hate the US covers too. Shame you couldn't have more say in them!
That's terrible, you would think as the writer you would have to say in what the cover looks like. Let me a write a book and someone just randomly chooses the book cover I will throw right in their faces.
I have to agree that I like to form the picture in my mind of what the character looks like. Which is why casting for a movie of a book is so very important and can never satisfy everyone.
