What particularly interests you in a book about life in Moscow?
Hi Graham. My reason for reading it had nothing to do with any interest about life in Moscow. It was recommended to me because of the story. The man lives inside a hotel, isn't allowed to leave it, so the book could have taken place anywhere. Honestly, I was reluctant to read it, thinking "story about living in a hotel?" But I loved it.
Thanks for your comments Felice. I have recently read several books by Kate Furnivall about life in Russia before and during the Revolution such as "The Russian Concubine " and "The Jewel of St Petersburg" plus of course there is my book "Comrades, Concubines and Lovers" which is based in the 1980s. All of these stories could not be repeated now.
