You need to write more about Solene and Hayes!
Yes please, more of Hayes and Solene. It was so nice to get caught up in the very real emotion of this story.
I loved this book right up until I got to the last page and thought "Where is the Epilogue?!" and then I realized there wasn't one.
Honestly I wish I hadn't read this, Unless this is finished I would probably never read this author again. My enjoyment plummeted straight from 5* to 1* as I flipped the last page.
This book was amazing. I couldn't put it down and I'm left wanting more, more, more! I understand where you're coming from regarding the way Hayes & Solene's story ended, but I still wanted a HEA! I'm intrigued by Oliver and would love to explore more of his story.
I'm going to agree with @brett here... I don't need evey book to have a happy little ending - but a book about a middle age mom and a boy bander... yeah, that was supposed to be a fun filler book between Homegoing and whatever is next. Supposed to be a fun romp of a book. So the ending should have at LEAST had a hint of them seeing each other again - if not an actual happily ever after. booo.
I just finished reading it I LOVE IT!!! but the ending not to much, Please give us a second book and a future with Hayes and Solene
Robin, it's almost a year later now and if you need any more incentive for writing Soléne and Hayes' HEA, well, please, PLEASE just do it. I'm gutted after that ending.
I just finished this last night and could not handle that ending. I kept thinking they were going to find a way to make it work. Hayes heart break was so real I felt my own heart breaking and have been an emotional mess since.
For real in agreement with the others. When I hit that end I was like, "Oh, this is not the book I thought it was." I think it was like...due to mis-marketing in my case? This comes up as a recommendation for a genre of literature where the endings are typically not quite that. I'm not mad, I'm just like, ...why did I stay up all night to get that ending? lol, a self-burn if there ever was one. Alas.
I haven't even finished the book yet (45% thru) but already don't want it to be over - more of their stories, please!!
sad that apparently there will be no continuation, overall I am extremely pragmatic and was pleased with the ending, but to me it seems that something in a way remains open: hope.
In a way I just see countless possibilities that remain, not a complete closure.........just saying to the universe haha
I "GET" the ending to the book as a 40 something mom, but it was also a romance...and romance needs just a little bit of happily ever after...not complete and total heartbreak as the ending after that awesome love story! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE write book 2!!!!
Agree with Beth Dittmar! Please Please Please write another book or more of this story! It was wonderful to get caught up in them and we want more!
I am BEGGGGGGGING you to please continue their story!! I just sat in my work bathroom sobbing after finishing this! We need more!!
I also completely understand why the ending makes sense and if I were Solene I probably would have made the same decision. But I also wish I had a way to get millions of readers for the book so the publisher would green light a sequel!
Reading this makes my heart soar! I will be spreading the word. We need more...these two characters are so special. They have found a place in my heart and I cannot let them go.
Having read this fantastic book I immediately looked to see if Robinne had written anything else but couldn’t find anything. I do hope there is a sequel to this wonderful love story.
I would say that having a movie made out of your book qualifies as a "decent success!" PLEASE WRITE A SEQUEL!
I vote for no sequel. I have read it three times because it is perfect as, the characters are intense, it smacks of real life and not that of a romance novel. Sex alone should not pigeon hole it, rather I'd call it fiction and is that much more genuine because there is no HEA.
