Mike Wasn't aware of that limitation?!? I will say that Roger is an excellent and insightful reviewer so I hope that somewhere down the road you can develop a "fellow reader relationship".

Lars Jerlach Hi Mike,
To be honest I wasn't aware of that either. I do realize that Roger is an intelligent and insightful reviewer and hopefully we'll be able to as you so aptly put it: 'develop a fellow reader relationship'.
Best,
Lars

Dave Schaafsma I got your friend request and accepted it, Lars, though I disagree that we have all that many books in common, based on the Goodreads comparison app. Still, I look forward to seeing what you read. I see you rate a lot, and review little, which is typical of Goodreads authors. That is what makes some top Goodreads reviewers skeptical, to pick up on a theme begun by my friend Roger, above, that authors are generally on Goodreads to get free reviews to promote their books, they aren't really much Goodreads readers/reviewers, and so on. But your work looks interesting and what we have in common looks good. Nice to meet you!

Mir Unless they've just changed the set-up you can privately message authors with whom you are friends rather than using. I suppose I can easily confirm this by messaging David, just a sec...

Mir Yes, you can. It's just that for some reason they've hidden the option so that instead of seeing it under the person's photo, you must click the down-pointing arrow to display "more options," one of which is "send a message". Needlessly obscure, I must say.
