Susan Pope Hi Gill. Thank you for your reply and your interest in my work. You are a professional and approach your writing as a more-than full-time job. My approach has been different and fitted around care responsibilities for my husband so it has taken me much longer. (Years against your months time-table) Early plot drafts and research went hand-in-hand, taking a journey of discovery into the past which itself suggested plot details and characters to weave into the story. Because I write slowly, I have never sought a traditional agent or publisher. Having self-published short stories and anthologies for writing groups, self-publication for my own novels seemed the right way to go. I hope people view my finished work as intriguing and engaging to read, even though I have not had the benefit of editorial input from professionals engaged in the publishing industry. I love to read the work of authors like yourself, who write in my own chosen genre of time-slip historical stories. I find it very challenging and very rewarding to bring two stories together with an exciting end. You do it so well. I hope readers consider I also achieve this.
