Stephanie Kusiak So...at the risk of shocking people, I'll answer your questions as truthfully as possible. I actually started writing fanfiction for Warehouse 13 and Castle, first. Those were my first stories...but as I started to heat things up between the characters, it fell flat (emotionally) for me, because I can't identify with M/F romantic relationships. I had always written straight fiction (since I started writing at 12) and part of my personal growth was being able to stop writing it for fear of reprisal. It’s also what kept me from finishing a book in the first place.

Then came faberry...which if I'm honest (again risking myself), I knew NOTHING about when I started writing my stories. Like *literally* nothing aside from Quinn was blonde and a cheerleader, and Rachel was a singer. I hadn’t even watched the show. All I did was watch a few fanvids and since I liked the "look" of the two characters, which how can you not….they are stunning young women, I started writing. I figured the faberry fandom would be a good place to test if I could write lesbian characters for the first time ‘cause I wanted to know if I could 1) do it, and 2) if people liked it. In full disclosure, I read a little bit about the characters from the show, just to make sure my ideas would gel with the fandom, but the archetypes of Quinn and Rachel are actually rooted very heavily in my own youth, my own experiences and dreams. I think the Faberry characters are really just generalizations of people we all knew (or were) in high school, which is why they resonated so strongly for not only me, but everyone.

When it comes to writing new worlds and people outside of Blake and Rachel, it’s both easy and hard at the same time. I have no shortage of ideas, and people that live in my head. However, I’m heart stuck on these two women’s story…and I’m pretty sure I’ve fallen in love with them. So, I can’t stop thinking about them long enough to work on anything else. I’ve tried, but I just can’t let them go. As a matter of fact, I figured out the story to the sequel this morning while driving…so now I’m even more hyped up on them. :)

Stephanie Kusiak You're very welcome. Thank you for asking.

Kelly You used to write Warehouse 13 fanfiction? Are they still available anywhere? W13 is my favourite show and I have been part of the tumblr fandom for quite a while now, so you got me very excited there. :D

Kristin So, I've read the previous comment that you do in fact have a sequel planned, or hopefully in the works (fingers crossed), for Loved and Lost... This comment, however, was apparently from a couple of years ago... I only read the book last month and I absolutely loved it. So...as you might guess, is there any news regarding this much anticipated endeavor??
