Yes, his journals have been published in a book: Alvin Brown Roberts, A Story of Western Adventures, A Memoir. I am trying to put together another edition. He wrote that he inscribed his name on Independence Rock and we know there is another rock near Raft River, but it is on private property and we have not located it yet. There is a photo in the museum in Twin Falls Idaho. He was a stone mason and spent a lot of years in that part of Idaho. Maybe he inscribed the rock near Raft River when he was living in the area, not when he came through in 1853 with the wagon train. Thanks for your help.
