I love when characters take on lives of their own and go places that hadn't even crossed your mind before you see them on the page.

For some reason I've always had a weakness for the tortured soldier trope, and just the little bit you've written of Lucas' story so far wrung my heart as well; can't wait to read how his journey shakes out, and discover who the woman is that captures his heart!

You were one of my first introductions to contemporary adult Christian fiction; a true kindred spirit, your stories and candid Facebook posts never fail to make me smile, so I also just wanted to thank you for that.
