I know some people work very differently, and world build thoroughly before they start writing (and that does have massive advantages in some ways - I was on to the edits for Broken Knives before I discovered we'd been travelling east into the setting sun for several days). But the excitement of discovering the world with the characters was one of the most exciting things about writing the book.
