Carly, you have completely just given me a lot of help in the case of having writer's block. Usually I would just stop writing all because I did not know what to say. Now I know that that is a very bad idea now. Thank you for your advice in this answer.

Carly Ellen Kramer Everyone has a different approach to this, I think! I once had a professor - who spoke very properly in class - declare to her surprised students that "Every paper needs a $hitty first draft." She said this so matter-of-factly, and her language choice was so completely out of character, that the advice stuck with me. Now, I don't worry how ridiculous something feels/sounds in the back of my mind... I just keep typing, and know that I'll have the opportunity to slow down and clean it up later. :)
