Operation Highjump was a 1947 "attack" on the Nazi bases in Antartica. Basically, the Nazis knew they were going to lose WW II, so continued the exploration of Antartica (started much earlier in the 20s & 30s. You would not have to get too much into the woo-woo ET aspect of it and stay pretty conventional, but much has been confirmed by the Russians and Adm Dönitz himself at the Nuremberg trials. It could be an extension of the Nazi Superweapons you touched on at the end of HOAF and maybe open a few eyes.
