And they should know that there are no shortcuts, and it could take them 5-10 years until they have a first book that they can publish.
;-) I've wondered if some people were jumping into writing because of those "get rich" scemes of the last few years with the explosion of e-books. Thinking the whole thing was easy. Hopefully most people know there is no sure thing to easy money. Writing is about passion. If you don't have it, don't bother.
I hope people are jumping into writing because they have a story inside screaming to get out.
