I have a follow up question if that’s ok? Do you listen to music while you write and if so, what kind?
I will only listen to instrumental classical music when writing. When I was an illustrator and working for Marvel, though, I would listen to The Beatles, The Stones, Queen, Billy Joel, U2 when I was working, but I've found now I don't want lyrics what I am trying to come up with words. So Mozart, Beethoven, Hayden, Holst...I like Classical, Romantic, Baroque periods, piano concertos, violin. When I'm not working...Van Halen, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers and classic rock like Zepplin, Grateful dead, and all that stuff from the 1960s.
