Thank you, that's great advice. Thank you for answering so soon
Cinta, I just thought of one more important thing. It might sound like a contradiction to what I said above, but this is very important if your ultimate goal is traditional publication. You must have a strong social media following.
This can be on twitter, facebook, pinterest, google+ whatever site you like. I recently read a blog post that suggested choosing one and focusing on it so you are extremely successful there rather than spread yourself thin on several sites and only being moderately successful.
You might already be doing this, but I wanted to mention it just in case. :) Now I need to get writing.
I actually have a blog, and I've been doing my best with it, but even when it has been running for a year and a half, I still don't have comments, and I think half of my followers do it out of pity, because they know me. I can't tell what people may think or which their interests would be, because they don't comment
Comments are down for everyone, myself included. If you don't enjoy blogging, stop. Focus on something you like.
I like blogging. The problem is that I don't know if people like it or just think I'm stupid. Don't worry, I have a lot of issues, apparently. Lots of doubts, and things that won't let me move forward. Perhaps I need to focus on that instead of trying to do something that just is not meant to be
Well, I have felt those exact same doubts, especially about blogging. I can't tell you how many times I've almost given up and then someone leaves a comment. I rarely have comments on my blog. I'll go back to my original suggestion. Forget about publication and just write your story.
