I can see a certain inspiration for Professor Vorthys. :) Also reminded me of some of my lecturers (all scientists) - especially on matters of English language and grammar. There was one in particular where the discussion could range into whether you were favouring Latin derived rules or Anglo Saxon.
Moving a misplaced comment to its proper location:

Congratulations. You've achieved the type of success in which Aral Vorkosigan is footnoted as being the father of Miles Vorkosigan.
Fantastic story Ellen, I would have been thrilled to see that.
That's quite a biography of your father. Wow. He sounds like a deeply thoughtful, as well as logical scientist.
Beautiful tribute. Your father sounds like a man I would have liked a great deal.
