Thanks, Werner -- "out with the old, in with the new;" and more changes to come, no doubt! and I agree the thrill experienced in exploring/viewing the actual book shelves has not been diminished by the new technologies. That said, I enjoy the ability and ease of downloading digital books and magazines. I have appreciated the inter-library loan option but did not realize the access capability to worldwide databases which is a great boon for doing research, especially in the academic world. Thanks for your comprehensive answer to my question.
