I selfishly like having the "Bujold" in there, since it makes a wonderful search term in a computer database. Lots of "Lois's" out there, and I am not sure how many "McMaster's", but there is so much room for error in computer databases and memories, is is Mac or Mc, etc. But "Bujold" is easy to remember and spell and pops out results with few false drops. And if checking in alphabetical order, there aren't many other terms starting with buj out there.
I remember seeing a documentary on Terry Pratchett - and the staff at a particular book store where he did signings every year starting right with his first couple of books - the staff commented how his signature changed down the years getting simpler and simpler - as the queues got longer.
