Can I just say that I'm glad that you are here! I don't do Facebook - I know, I'm one of the few that don't - and I hope that you'll continue to post here!
Absolutely. The groups here are where I mainly live (especially my YA.) Facebook is fun to see everyone (especially a few close friends who are mostly there, apparently) but it's a bit frenetic for me.
It's the knowledge that it's a "bit frenetic" that keeps me away from Facebook. I love the atmosphere of this website much better. I'm glad to know that you'll still be here, too.
Yeah. Definitely the quiet side of book conversations here. No popping sidebars. But on the plus side, friends who were too busy for email are coming around to say hi, so that's a big bonus.
Thanks for the answer. I "friended" you on FB. I spend less and less time on goodreads, and missed a couple of your releases and didn't like that. I'm better able to keep up with my fave authors by having multiple avenues :)
Good to see you over there. I'm getting used to it. Although one thing I love much more here is having an edit function on my comments. As someone who can agonize over a misplaced comma, seeing my errors set in stone there is a little painful. But I am getting to spend time with people who don't find me here. So that part is good.
