aaaaaaack that second novel. I am wrestling mine to the ground as we speak... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
What is your first book - want to look it up? So curious how this all goes since my launch isn't until April...
My debut is BIRDS OF WONDER, it's on here under my profile, or its title. We had several near-misses with big publishers and ultimately decided to go indie, and all in all it has been a good decision. And I know my agent is a prince because he didn't dump me after we didn't sell BIRDS big. :) Right now the wonderful woman I call my Editrix Extraordinaire has 134 pp. of novel #2, in like its gazillionth draft, and I am awaiting verdict. It's my hope to deliver this one to my agent in mid-Jan, and whether that is feasible or not depends on her reaction to these pages. So... trying hard to work on the next section (the middle, always a challenge), while refreshing my in box about every 2.7 seconds to see if she's finished reading!! Bleh.
Ugh! this is all so tough! BIRDS OF WONDER looks amazing to me! I'll bet book number two is terrific. The whole process of writing then waiting then editing then ...well, you know, is just darn difficult.
Will you please let me know how things go? I am rooting for you! Warmest, Maureen
