Shinee'sBack! I've never taken part in NaNoWriMo but i was thinking i might give it a try even if i'm a little late in the month. I've been thinking of a couple of story ideas for a while now, so i was curious how long other writers took with their projects (although i know how long each author can spend writing a story varies). Six months is amazing though!

If it's okay to ask one more question, what did you think was the biggest challenge when you were writing The Search for Alice?

Amy Koto That's amazing! I absolutely think you should give it a try and you are right about it taking different amounts of time with different projects. I think the biggest challenge was really capturing the voice of my main character, Kallie. I really wanted her to be like a real person. Someone you could really imagine yourself being friends with and I really want readers to connect to her. I would constantly edit things she said or read them out loud just to see if I found her annoying or if I could relate to her myself.

Shinee'sBack! I have similar thoughts about wanting my characters to likeable, and i think wanting them to seem like real people is really good advice!
I think i will give NaNoWriMo a go, even just on a lesser scale to start with. Thank you so much for answering my questions! :D
