Andrea is a brilliant character, and the backstory to her character is fabulous. As NYers, we are familiar with many strong intelligent immigrant leaders and now those in more homogenous areas can see a protagonist who embodies the characteristics of people we are familiar with in real life. I really liked this book and I'm just about to buy the second one. Bahni Turpin is a terrific narrator, too!
