Thanks for your reply! After I saw your work I did a little more checking myself. I wasn't inferring you were plagiarizing and I apologize if that's what you thought. While the work is now in the public domain from a copyright perspective, John carter of mars and barsoom are all still trademarked properties by ERB. I have no idea about the relevance of that when writing original tales, but I assume if you haven't received a cease and desist, you are good! :)
