Thank you for this! So many stories have to ship the partners, and it's frustrating, especially as an aro/ace person. I adored that the first book was so light on that, and I think that's why I preferred it to the second book.
It was honestly a breath of fresh air to see two main characters of opposite genders not to fall in love for an unknown reason besides they were made for each other. Thank you.
Yes! So sick of assuming that EVERY time a guy and a girl show up in a book, they must fall in love.
