"Logical," might not be the best word to describe what holds me back. With most things I do, I need instructions for every step of the process. With creative writing, the most common advice I hear is that there are no rules. I still wish there was an exact process for creating characters, plot, and setting. Without somewhere to begin, I struggle to get my ideas on paper. How can I work past this?
