Julie Moran Just started reading the first book "Other Mage" ... excellent so far. Glad to know you're working on the next in the series. Any idea when it might be done?

Derrick Smythe Julia, I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying "The Other Magic!" The next book in the series is set to be released later this year (shooting for early November). I recently finished the first draft and working through the first set of revisions right now. I have a page on my website (https://derricksmythe.com/the-other-w...) where I update my progress pretty regularly. I'll also be releasing excerpts from the second book in my newsletter once I have finished this next set of revisions in a couple of months. I'll also be posting updates on Goodreads once the release date is all firmed up. I hope you enjoy the rest of "The Other Magic."

Best,

Derrick

Julie Moran Perfect! Look forward to it. I'm an avid Audible fan, made so by a brother who is partially blind so when he finds a good narrator he shoots that my direction. So I listen when I travel or endure my long work commutes. I say all that to say, Mr. Greg Patmore does your work justice. Hope he will return for the next book, and indeed, the entire series.

Thank you again for sharing your talent!

Derrick Smythe Julia, I too am a HUGE Audible fan and most (not all) of my "reading" is now done in this way. I'm glad that your brother introduced you to the audio edition of "The Other Magic". I firmly believe that narration can really make or break a story. Therefore, I could not have been happier with Greg's interpretation of the characters! I'm actually listening to the audio for a second time all the way through in order to keep those characters more alive in my head as I work through the second book.
Greg is scheduled to narrate the rest of the series as it unfolds. Greg is also lined up to narrate the short-story, "To Earn the Sash", which was recently released as an ebook, though I do not have an audio release date on that as of yet. I do know that it will either be sometime before the audio release of the next book, or alongside it.

Best,

Derrick
