Thanks. That's helpful. I do five 'drafts' right now.
1st one is flow with minimal plotting
2nd enhances plot and scenes
3rd enhances characters and dialog
4th pulls all elements together
5th polish and wrapup
It's a lot of work, and even with all that I still struggle with endings... I want my stories to go on and on, like life.
