Katie What a list! Thank you. Some coming of age and life changing reads for all of us (plus more- will definitely add to the reading list). Of course The Gentleman in Moscow and Rules of Civility will now belong on this list of classics for other readers now too

David Philip Roth's The Human Stain doesn't get enough love in my book. Great novel.

Katilipops I'm sure you have read it, but Cormac McCarthy's On The Road was fantastic and in the same realm as these others! Father/Son love story.

Thank you for this list! I've been working at it for a few years and I just finished Middlemarch.. Just wow. I've never highlighted nearly an entire chapter before.

BTW I wrote you once regarding my friend who was locked away in Moscow... He has been home now for just over a year, and is doing very well. I appreciate your support during that time. Your note meant a lot.
