Hey Will! Thanks for the note! Honestly, as long as it's efficient and logical, doesn't matter if it's computer or paper. Have you heard of the zettelkasten method? It's a note taking system, and the original version was conceived using over 100,000 notecards or something like that. To keep track of research for the book I used Scrivener. It's not really designed for that, but it worked pretty well. Next time I might use something like Tinderbox or Bear.
You bet! I'm an entomologist myself, so I was a big fan of the video. And ya know, I hadn't heard of zettelkasten...and so I proceeded to go down the rabbit hole and emerge multiple hours later, hahaha. The method seems great! I'm early in my career and I feel as if I'm reaching a critical mass of information stored hierarchically. Zettelkasten seems like an excellent solution. Last night, I read multiple articles, watched some videos about it, and dove into the zettelkasten website.
My one disappointment is that most of the community (and therefore software) is MacOS-focused. At least the method itself can be implemented without much need for gizmos and gadgets, but it would be nice to have a program as a "homebase," if you will. I'll keep looking around for a Windows solution.
Bottom line is, thank you very much! I think this will be really helpful.

Do you mean to say an efficient and logical way to store and retrieve information in your mind or in a computer program such as OneNote? Thanks! :D
