Thank you so much for responding - I have placed a pre-order through Amazon and am looking forward to reading the book! Please stay safe in the fires. I have another friend north of Sydney and she has sent amazing pictures.
I'm in Melbourne and apart from smoke, which is pretty ghastly on bad days, I am absolutely safe, but I doubt there is any one of us who doesn't know someone directly affected! The community here and overseas are really pulling together and if you are on Twitter check out the fabulous books etc on offer under #authorsforfiries. My alter ego Alison Stuart has a book up for auction, ironically set in a bushfire in the area where the bushfires are... THE POSTMISTRESS.
