The idea of "liberal vs. conservative" is non essential to a serious consideration of Christianity. The only question that matters is truth vs. non-truth. (Our Lord Jesus Christ is very truth in every aspect of His eternal being.) Thomas Merton and C.S. Lewis are surely great places to start any exploration into the faith.
I love Lit! Especially where it addresses an atheist/agnostic finding God. Can you recommend any others on the topic?
