David Crow Jennifer, I had a hard time reading as a child because of being very nearsighted and having dyslexia but I loved reading because I could escape into other worlds and meet the smartest most interesting people. I forced myself to read and eventually found I could read for long periods of time and remember most of what I read. I also loved to write. This is the combination that mattered. But by far the biggest reason for writing success is pure persistence. I never gave up the dream of being an author and I took constructive criticism. Persistence is king.
