I so agree with wanting to feel changed after reading a book. I want to learn something and experience something. I just finished Sharks in the Time of Saviors and I felt changed. I loved understanding Hawaiian culture even just a bit, and being lead to read further about Hawaiian myths. The last chapter caused a vibration deep within me and put words to the notion of inter-being. It was beautiful!
