[close] Welcome to She Reads- Kenya! This group is a welcoming space for all Kenyan bookworms to connect, share their love of reading, and discover new literary adventures. We encourage discussions on all genres, from the classics of African literature to the latest gripping thrillers.

[close] The aim of this group is to broaden the horizons of avid readers past the much publicised Western authors (not that these aren't great, but a) representation matters, and b) the time has come to use literature as it was intended, to experience other worlds) by recommending books written by African authors. A lot of the canon in this regard tends to be literary fiction or poetry, and while these recommendations will also be welcomed, it would be appreciated if this group could also highlight contemporary lit, fantasy, horror, etc.
