[close] A place to discuss all the unique aspects of Deaf culture as highlighted in the thriller Silent Fear (A novel inspired by true crimes) by Lance & James Morcan. This group can also be an intersection of sorts where Deaf and hearing people can engage and learn from each other.

[close] I recently moved up to Portland from Anchorage, Alaska, my home town of 21 years. I am an indie writer/author whose pieces usually consist of fiction, suspense, or a messed up love story of some sort. I am looking to start a book group through here, or an in person group, where we meet once a week or twice a month to read each other pieces of our own, exchange editorials and helpful pointers, to shape our writing up for novels, short stories, poems, memoirs, or whatever it is we want to do with writings. If you don't live in Portland, no big deal, we could all just talk through here :) I just thought since I'm new to the area, would be fun to make a group or something in person and/or through here.
