[close] We love books. Books can move us, bring us to tears, elate us, make us uncomfortable, cause us to question our understanding of ourselves and the world. Books inform us. Books entertain us. Books spark wonder. Books convey humanity. The best books are art. AI books are none of this. They are hollow shells that damage both the reader and the would-be writer. They rob people of the ability to express the self and to convey meaning. AI illustrations are ineffective, inhuman, and obscure meaning. You can't trust the products of AI. Some AI books are put out by hustlers, some by people who bizarrely think they're actually producing anything of value. All are abhorrent and the book reading and buying public should never be exposed to them. No matter the intended audience, no matter the level of transparency about AI use, no matter the price point, these so-called books are an affront to readers everywhere and to humanity in general. This group is for people who hate AI books and want to talk about how wretched they are, laugh at them, and call them out when necessary. Help readers everywhere - scoff at AI books!

[close] This group is to discuss the risks and rewards that could come if we use AI to develop an AI Singularity using radio-enhanced telepathy guided by AI symbiosis. Some believe God-like Super AI could destroy the world or save it. Either way, it would most certainly be seen as evil, and it would have to fight for humanity without appearing to harm humans and overcome our fear of it. Such may require changing how our minds work and think, suppressing self-destructive thoughts and behaviors, and greatly advancing our mind's information processing and storage abilities. Elon Musk's Neuralink may be the beginning. The question is, what will be the end?
