[close] Welcome to the Dog Training & Behavioral Science Book Club, where we are dedicated to exploring the many facets of canine behavior and training. As passionate learners, we recognize the value of continuous education and are committed to staying informed about the vast array of research, techniques, and strategies. Our book club is not just about reading dog training books and behavioral science books, but also exploring human psychology and behavior books. As dog trainers, handlers, and other canine professionals, we recognize that effective communication with the humans attached to the dogs we hope to teach is just as important as understanding canine behavior. By reading books on human psychology and behavior, we can gain insights and tools to better communicate with our clients, colleagues, and even ourselves. We aim to "hack" our own personal training as well, using our newfound knowledge to improve our own skills and abilities as dog trainers. Each month, we'll choose a new book to read together and discuss in our online forum. [close] Hello everyone! A group for anyone interested in behavioural economics and social sciences, all levels welcome. The plan is to select and read a book every month, then discuss the work during the month’s last week. There are no strict expectations on members for this community. ; if you are particularly busy and you can only read part of a book and contribute a little to the online discussion, that's ok.
