[close] This global discussion group has been designed to encourage debates about important and underreported issues of our era. All you need is an enquiring mind and a desire to gain or share “underground knowledge”. This is also a place to discuss the controversial topics explored in The Underground Knowledge Series (non-fiction books) by James Morcan & Lance Morcan as well as the Underground Knowledge podcast show.

[close] This group is inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement. We will be reading books written by authors of color in all different categories including: nonfiction, poetry/verse, fiction, memoirs, etc. This is one of the many ways we choose to educate ourselves and learn to be an advocate for the BLM movement and for change in our society.

[close] Hosted through the Multicultural Resource Center at Missouri State University. This is a book club for students associated with MSU to connect over diverse, intersectional literature that highlights different experiences, and to start bigger discussions about the world.

[close] Do you enjoy reading works from Octavia Butler or Nnedi Okorafor and dream of creating stories like theirs someday? Are you looking for a group of like-minded pro-black writers like you? Then you've come to the right place! This group is for writers of Afrofuturism who want a safe support group of other writers including but not limited to the genres of: African American Sci Fi, Afro-fantasy, Black Speculative Fiction, Afro Cyber Punk, etc. We know that there is a need and demand for black stories to be told. We mold our raci and turn it into liberation. Which is all the more reason why a group like this is important! In this group we: -Share tips & tricks on writing, promoting books, and more -Critique each other's works -Network with other writers -Engage in workshops, events, and other festivities And most importantly, we just HAVE FUN!
