[close] We are affiliated with the Boston Scifi/fantasy meetup group and expanded from their Somerville club. We usually meet the last Monday of the month to discuss a previously decided science fiction, fantasy, or sometimes even horror book. We meet on the third floor in the back crecent, past the audio books. Check out the meetup group for actual date and times of the meeting.

[close] Hello! Welcome to a local book group! I wanted to create a group in my area where members could meet fellow JPers that love books! Depending on if anyone has any interest, we can organize meetings in town (JP Licks, Ula cafe or picnic in the arboretum anyone?) or simply discuss online. I am not big on "book clubs" mostly because I have a pretty rigorous "to be read" list and don't like to stray far from it (so many books, so little time you know!). I do not want to force anyone to read anything they aren't interested in. That said, I would LOVE to discuss books that I happened to be reading or that I am planning on reading with people who have shown similar interest those books. I am picturing fellow members checking out one another's TBR lists and seeing if there are any books in common! That way, we can all be sure to be reading something we had an initial interest in. Also, I want to meet new friends in J.P. and go on adventures! :) Obviously... that goes without saying.
