"Transgressive fiction is a genre of literature that focuses on characters who feel confined by the norms and expectations of society and who break free of those confines in unusual or illicit ways..." My interpretation of this description focusses on "unusual or illicit ways" of breaking rules. For example - when it comes to crime fiction we'll focus on books in which the criminal is the MC or holds the POV rather than the detective. I'll be featuring a new book each month for us to read, and there will be plenty of questions to ask and answer as we discover new shocking books together!
