[close] Bibliophilia is a friendly, cozy group for all those who have a passion for books. Are you someone who loves books for their content, or who otherwise loves reading? Or are you in fact a book collector? If so then you have come to the right place! We, at the Book Club, IIT Kanpur, have just brought down that paradise loaded with a diverse collection of books and not to mention, comfy bean-bags for the feel of it. Whether you are new to the world of books or a dedicated bookworm, we got your back covered. Our collections include Fiction, Non-Fiction, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Classics, Poetry, Drama, Collections, Comics, Popular Science, Self Help, Romance, Biographies, Autobiographies, Bengali and Hindi. The SAC Book Club comes under the Cultural Council of the Students’ Gymkhana. It is maintained and operated by a team of 3 coordinators and 14 secretaries who work on a completely voluntary basis. During the semester, the club opens 7 days a week, for 1 hour on weekdays (9-10 pm) and 2 hours on the weekends (8-10 pm). We also conduct events, ranging from bookish-themed competitions and fun get-togethers to our flagship event, The Halloween Party! Do drop by and see us sometime. We can have our little, adventurous trips to new worlds!
