[close] A place to discuss all the unique aspects of Deaf culture as highlighted in the thriller Silent Fear (A novel inspired by true crimes) by Lance & James Morcan. This group can also be an intersection of sorts where Deaf and hearing people can engage and learn from each other.

[close] So they got it wrong with the Jews, but does the fact that evolutionary psychology refuses to go away mean they're on to something? Self Determination vs. the Evolutionary Master and as many of the peripheral questions that we can explore and still speak to each other at family reunions.

[close] Page Walkers is NOT a stuffy book club, or a traditional church book club. Page Walkers IS a gathering of everyday people who love reading and discussing our experience in an informal, fun, group led conversation. We also like laughter, dessert, coffee, and/or a glass of wine! Ok, and most of us are connected with Footsteps United Church of Christ (www.footstepsucc.org). We read 8 to 10 books annually and meet in the loft at Duck & Decanter's restaurant on Camelback Road & 16th Street in Phoenix, AZ. We will be reading books about justice, love, compassion, spirituality, and faith. The books chosen will ask deep questions that push us to discern our own life journey's. They won't be chosen because the group or Foosteps necessarily agree's with it's thesis. Jesus asked the tough questions, he didn't just give us all the answers. This is the tradition for our group.

[close] The Compassion Book Club is based out of the Brookfield, CT Library and meets once every other moth. We discuss books about all topics with the underlying theme of compassion. Everyone votes on the books we read and discuss. Hope to see you there!
