[close] Our podcast is a promise to ourselves to be serious about improving our writing. And it’s a promise to our listeners to show, not tell, how to improve your writing. Getting advice is great, but incorporating it into your work takes time, repetition, discussion, analysis. We’re not just reviewing books; we’re discussing what we personally learned from them. And, by example, helping our listeners to do the same a book at a time, one chapter at a time. Our goodreads reviews are no different. Here, you will find the books we discuss on the podcast and how they pertain (or don't) to the advice we discuss on the podcast.

[close] This is a book club for writers from the Writing Popular Fiction program at Seton Hill University, run by two sisters, full of colleagues and friends.

[close] Following what I am sure will prove to be for many of us a formative week under the house martins of the Devonshire countryside - I thought a group here on Goodreads might be a useful way to stay connected - adding literature that has moved us in the past and future reads that will impact us. I believe there are many different ways of using Goodreads groups - including chat features etc - please dive in to whatever suits you - but at a minimum I envision it as s shared bookshelf to nourish our learning. I've started it by adding some of the books mentioned during the week - I know there are many I've missed so please add away. Thank you all once again, Sophia Editor :p
