[close] We read books by and about diverse Canadians. We've got a policy and current affairs bend, but love a good fiction.

[close] In the past year, we've seen a huge increase in the number of nonfiction books our customers are reading. Our current affairs and sociology sections have recently required expansion. Our two hottest bestsellers of the last year have been Ta-Nehisi Coates's Between the World and Me and Colson Whitehead's Underground Railroad. Clearly, the time is ripe for some educational reading and discussion! This book group aims to read both nonfiction and fiction inspired by true stories that deal with sociological, historical, and political issues brought up by current affairs. Specific book picks will be determined by our members who meet in-person at our bookstore with help from our expert booksellers. Here on Goodreads, we encourage people from far and wide to read and learn along with us!
