Dinosaurs

[close] A utopia where man and dinosaur live side by side on an island. It sports a vast and ancient culture growing from the dinosaurs themselves and that brought by man. Role play as either a sentient dinosaur or a member of the species Homo Sapiens that has either been cast away on the island or lived there their whole life

[close] The world, spinning and turning in turmoil. Every movement is judged by fate and every breath counts one less moment of life. Two worlds, both split in half by the controversies of their inhabitants. Back and forth, like night and day, they collide their teeth with one another. In the same way they are divided they are oblivious. While they focus all determination on overruling the other, they fail to notice the coming cold. Their time, fleeting with the summer's warmth. Try as you might to think reasonably with these savages. May you plan every strategy and guide your actions with knowledge. However, in this world of biting maws and clashing claws, no well thought out battle plan will keep you alive.... only Instinct .

[close] A warm, friendly corner of Goodreads for parents, teachers, and caregivers raising little ones (ages 3–7) through big feelings and the first steps of reading. This is the home of Sprout — a small green dino who learns to name his feelings, calm his body, and grow a kind, confident heart — and the wider world of gentle, social-emotional picture books and early readers built around him. Here you can: - Talk about helping young children understand emotions like worry, anger, sadness, jealousy, and pride - Share what's working (and what's hard) in your read-alouds and feelings conversations at home or in the classroom - Get first looks at new Sprout books, plus free printables, coloring pages, and calm-down cards - Swap recommendations for other wonderful picture books about feelings, kindness, and early reading A note on who's here: I'm Matthew Hampton, the author and illustrator behind the Sprout books. I started this group to build a kind little community around big feelings and early reading — so please jump in, ask questions, and share your own favorites. New voices always welcome. Be kind, keep it about little ones and their books, and let's help some growing hearts grow.
