[close] Group set up by NT in a ND world. You may have seen me posting book reviews on Facebook. I’ve set up this group for a number of reasons: To promote, read, discuss and share Neurodivergent authors books. To promote, read, discuss and share BIPOC authors books. To promote, read, discuss and share LGBTQIA+ authors books. To continually educate myself, amplify and listen, unlearn and learn from those with lived experience. To share my passionate interest of reading with others. Books will mainly be relating to Neurodiversity, Neurodivergence, Autism, ADHD, identity politics, advocacy, unlearning unconscious prejudice, learning from those with lived experience and social justice.

[close] The media is full of stories asserting how technology is going to change our health futures. Developments in assistive technology design and production – from prosthetic limbs that duplicate the function of missing arms or legs, to smart drugs that will help preserve memory in old age, and companion robots that will serve as carers – promise huge benefits for improved health. Our project asks what ideas of body and personhood are at stake in these processes; how are hopes and fears about our bodies and minds expressed in the stories we tell ourselves about how we will interact with technology? In particular, we are interested in how this promise connects to the lives of people living with disabilities today. We will work with disability focus groups and family members, and develop prototype product designs and robot platforms, in exploring how we imagine future encounters between disability and technology.

[close] Hosted through the Multicultural Resource Center at Missouri State University. This is a book club for students associated with MSU to connect over diverse, intersectional literature that highlights different experiences, and to start bigger discussions about the world.

[close] Hello! Foggy Book Club is a monthly book club for those of us living with chronic illness, disability and/or mental illness. Allies are welcome, also. We read only Fiction, but are not genre specific! As long as it's fiction, you can submit it for voting! The books will be discussed here throughout the month and at the end of each month there will be a livestream on YouTube (@OlgaChronics) where we discuss it further and decide the next book. Voting & Updates will take place on Instagram and Twitter (@OlgaChronics).
